8-Day 7-Night Round-Trip Nile Cruise from Luxor is designed around the confirmed route, your travel dates and a clearly itemised service package. A slower return sailing with additional river time; it does not repeat every temple visit twice.

Use this itinerary to plan the experience that fits your party. Tell us your dates, hotel or arrival point and any practical requirements, and receive a written quotation before deciding. The programme separates included services from optional extras so you can compare the full cost and choose the pace that works for you.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1 · Luxor embarkation and East Bank

Meet in Luxor, board for lunch and take the confirmed East Bank tour. Dinner and the first night are aboard.

Explore the temple complex of Karnak, moving through its courtyards and columned spaces with an Egyptologist. A focused route explains how successive rulers changed the site. Allow time to absorb the scale instead of rushing every corner; conservation work and crowd flow can alter the precise walking route.

Visit Luxor Temple beside the modern city and follow its courtyards and monumental gateways. Your guide explains the layers of religious history visible in the complex. The visit is planned within official opening hours; an evening atmosphere is possible only when that departure has been confirmed.

Day 2 · West Bank and sailing

Visit the West Bank, then return to the ship and follow the navigation programme toward Esna. Full-board meals and overnight aboard.

Enter the Valley of the Kings and visit the tombs covered by the standard ticket on your date. Your guide explains the royal burial landscape and prepares you for the interiors where guiding rules may restrict commentary. Special tomb admissions are separate unless explicitly included; no particular open-tomb combination is guaranteed.

Continue to the terraced memorial temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari. Walk through the accessible levels and examine the relationship between architecture and the limestone cliffs. The open courtyard can be hot, so take breaks and discuss any difficulty with ramps or stairs before the excursion.

Pause at the Colossi of Memnon for the surviving monumental statues and an introduction to the memorial temple landscape of the West Bank. This is normally a brief outdoor stop, with time for photographs and questions. It complements the longer visits rather than being treated as a large museum complex.

Day 3 · Edfu and Kom Ombo

Visit the temples according to actual docking times, allowing flexibility for navigation. Transfers are arranged as confirmed. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are aboard.

Explore the Temple of Horus at Edfu and its unusually complete architectural sequence. The transfer from a cruise mooring is agreed in advance, with a motor vehicle requested where locally available. Animal-drawn transport is not assumed, and alternative arrangements may affect time or cost.

Visit the twin temple at Kom Ombo overlooking the Nile. Your guide explains the paired layout and helps you read selected surviving scenes. Cruise arrivals can bring busy periods; the visit follows the actual sailing or road schedule, with museum access included only if stated in your quotation.

Day 4 · Aswan sightseeing

Spend the day on the included Aswan circuit, with the boat connection at Philae coordinated locally. Return for the final night on the southbound four-night option.

Take the arranged boat to the Philae temple complex and explore its island setting with your guide. Discuss the cult of Isis and the monuments’ relocation without rushing the waterfront views. Boat access involves steps and changing water levels; mobility needs must be checked with the actual embarkation facilities.

Stop at the permitted visitor viewpoint for the Aswan High Dam. Your guide explains how the dam changed the river landscape and the relationship with Lake Nasser. The visit is limited to public-access areas; it is not an engineering-site inspection or access to operational infrastructure.

Visit the granite quarry associated with the Unfinished Obelisk and consider how large stone monuments were shaped. The exposed rock surfaces help make the scale of the work tangible. The site can be hot and uneven, so choose appropriate footwear and allow for a slower walk.

Day 5 · Aswan leisure and return sailing

Enjoy time aboard or a separately booked Aswan activity before the vessel’s confirmed return sailing. Abu Simbel is optional and must be matched to navigation. Overnight aboard with full-board meals.

Day 6 · Nile sailing north

Spend the day enjoying the river and onboard time as the ship follows its return route. Previously visited temples are not automatically repeated; check any optional excursion with the guide. Overnight aboard.

Day 7 · Esna passage and Luxor approach

Continue toward Luxor according to lock and river traffic. Use the day for rest, reading and the riverside landscape. The final night is aboard; arrival time cannot be guaranteed.

Day 8 · Luxor disembarkation

After breakfast, leave the ship and take the confirmed central Luxor transfer. Additional museums, airport travel or extra hotel nights can be arranged by quotation.

Price and booking basis

Indicative regular price: US$749 per adult sharing a twin/double room or cabin, 7 nights.

Indicative regular base rate in USD, proposed for standard non-holiday dates and subject to written confirmation before booking. No live availability is implied. Christmas, New Year, Easter and the August 2027 eclipse period require a separate quotation. There is no fabricated discount or crossed-out comparison price.

Children’s ages, solo occupancy, additional passengers and accessibility arrangements are quoted individually. Required extras are disclosed before payment; an enquiry does not reserve inventory.

Pickup and practical details

In Luxor, grouping nearby visits helps make a day more comfortable. The West Bank contains the royal burial landscapes and memorial temples, while Karnak and Luxor Temple sit on the East Bank. Discuss river crossings and the actual hotel location before agreeing pickup. Tomb openings and special admissions can change, so the most useful quotation identifies the standard ticket and separates optional upgrades. An early start does not eliminate the need for breaks and a realistic return time.

Please provide the full hotel name, arrival details and a contact number that works during travel. Tell us about mobility needs, dietary restrictions and children’s ages before confirmation. No specific accessibility, language upgrade or special venue access is assumed without agreement.

Cancellation

Cancel in writing at least 24 hours before the confirmed service start for a full refund of the amount paid to Wow Travel Egypt for that service. The cutoff uses the local time shown in your confirmation. For a multi-day booking, the cutoff is measured from the start of the whole booking.

Frequently asked questions

Does an enquiry confirm my booking?

No. We confirm the date, services and total price in writing before a reservation is accepted. Do not book dependent transport on the basis of an indicative rate alone.

Are entrance fees included?

Use the inclusions above and your written quotation. Standard cultural admission and special tickets are excluded unless specifically listed; activity admission such as the booked boat or beach pass follows its own inclusion list.

Can the route be adapted?

Tell us your priorities before confirmation. Changes may affect price, transport or the available time. A safety or access restriction cannot be overridden by a request.
