Day 2 · Edfu and navigation toward Luxor

Visit Edfu according to the ship’s mooring programme and sail toward Luxor. Arrival depends on navigation and lock traffic. Meals and a second night are aboard. An evening Luxor Temple visit is not guaranteed.

Explore the Temple of Horus at Edfu and its unusually complete architectural sequence. The transfer from a cruise mooring is agreed in advance, with a motor vehicle requested where locally available. Animal-drawn transport is not assumed, and alternative arrangements may affect time or cost.

Day 3 · Balloon, Luxor highlights and departure

A shared balloon proceeds only if the ship’s arrival and weather allow. After breakfast and checkout, take the ground tour and the agreed central Luxor drop-off. Do not book an early onward flight; Aswan city sightseeing is not included.

Transfer before dawn to the approved launch area for a shared hot air balloon experience. Attend the operator’s safety briefing and follow the pilot’s instructions throughout. In Aswan, boats and road transport often need to be coordinated. A central hotel, an island property and a West Bank guesthouse can involve different meeting arrangements.
