Detailed itinerary

Day 1 · Aswan sightseeing and embarkation

Meet in Aswan, complete the planned sightseeing and board the vessel. Lunch and dinner are aboard. Late flights may require an extra hotel night or a revised sightseeing plan before confirmation.

Take the arranged boat to the Philae temple complex and explore its island setting with your guide. Discuss the cult of Isis and the monuments’ relocation without rushing the waterfront views. Boat access involves steps and changing water levels; mobility needs must be checked with the actual embarkation facilities.

Stop at the permitted visitor viewpoint for the Aswan High Dam. Your guide explains how the dam changed the river landscape and the relationship with Lake Nasser. The visit is limited to public-access areas; it is not an engineering-site inspection or access to operational infrastructure.

Explore the Temple of Horus at Edfu and its unusually complete architectural sequence. The transfer from a cruise mooring is agreed in advance, with a motor vehicle requested where locally available. Animal-drawn transport is not assumed, and alternative arrangements may affect time or cost.

Day 4 · Luxor visits and disembarkation

After breakfast and checkout, complete the Luxor visits not already taken on Day 3. Use the agreed drop-off and leave a sensible onward-travel buffer.

Pickup and practical details

In Aswan, boats and road transport often need to be coordinated. A central hotel, an island property and a West Bank guesthouse can involve different meeting arrangements. Avoid treating a published itinerary as proof that a particular ship or transfer is available on your date.
